THE PUBLICATION

Privacy policy

How Foundra handles reader and submission data.

Information we collect

The site stores the name, email address and message you voluntarily submit through its forms. Newsletter interest registration stores an email address and consent time. Basic infrastructure logs may include an IP address, request time and requested URL for operating and securing the site.

How we use information

Submission data is used to handle publication enquiries, evaluate tips and investigate correction requests. Newsletter registrations are used for publication updates when email delivery is activated. We do not sell submission data. Our hosting and storage providers process data necessary to operate the publication.

Cookies and analytics

Ordinary reading does not require an account or a marketing cookie. The protected editorial interface uses a necessary session cookie. We measure aggregate page views, broad device class, active reading time and scroll depth to improve the publication. This first-party measurement uses no cookies or persistent reader identifiers and stores no IP addresses, full referrers or search queries. A random identifier lasts only for a single page visit to prevent duplicate measurements; its receipt is removed after two days. Aggregates are retained for 90 days. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this measurement. Counts are estimates and do not identify unique visitors.

Your reading list

Saved stories are stored in this browser on your device. They are not synced to an account or sent to our publication team. You can remove individual stories or clear the list on the Saved page.

Retention and requests

We retain submissions only while needed for publication operations and ordinarily review them for removal after twelve months. You can request access, correction, removal or withdrawal of newsletter interest through the Contact page. Hosting logs are governed by the provider’s retention settings.

External links

Articles link to external publishers and primary sources. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies. This policy may be updated as the publication’s services change.
